Sexual conflict
I'm currently interested in studying various aspects of human sexual conflict. This includes female anti-rape adaptations, men's sexual overperception bias, as well as rape itself. We're identifying adaptations that prevent rape from occuring, stop rape when it's happening, and ameliorate post-rape conditions. We're also examining men's sexual overperception bias in relation to sexual coercion.

Daughter-Guarding
Together with Diana Fleischman, I'm looking at ways in which parents preferentially guard their daughters from early sexual activity. We're also researching how individual differences play a role in parental guarding behavior and the types of mates parents prefer for their children.

Romantic relationship dissolution
The dissolution of romantic relationships has been a recurrent part of human mating throughout our ancestral past. I've studied sex differences and Rejector/Rejectee differences in costs experienced and strategies for dealing with these costs.
