About API

The Animal Personality Institute (API), founded in 2004, is an interdisciplinary organization for bringing together research scientists whose work contributes to understanding personality and temperament in non-human animals. It is dedicated to building a stronger and integrative study of animal personality.

Objectives:

Promote dialogue between theoretical and applied work on animal personality
Provide a forum for communication among researchers, practitioners, and members of the public who are interested in the study of animal personality,
Foster research on animal personality,
Provide resources for researchers, practitioners, and members of the public,
Disseminate scientific research findings on animal personality.
