We are still compiling a database of pairs of participants who would be willing and able to both tell us about the same dog (by independently rating that dog using our questionnaire) in a future version of our questionnaire. This requires that both people know the dog well. We're getting closer! But we still need more participants. Tell all your dog-owning friends about our study so we can reach our goal sooner.
We are closer to our goal in large part because of an increase in participants from Iowa after reporter Mary Challender wrote an article about our study, featuring participants from Iowa. The article is entitled Get Inside Your Pooch's Head and is printed in the Tuesday, November 8th edition of the Des Moines Register. We now need about 1,000 more participants! (Yes, it does seem we're going backwards.) This weekend, we reviewed the data submitted by participants and found that many had completed only half of the questionnaire. This leaves us with about 2,000 complete questionnaires, and means we need about 1,000 more before we can complete our analyses. If you know anyone who might be interested in completing the questionnaire, please help spread the word! Thanks for your patience and continued interest in our progress.

If you have attempted to complete the questionnaire and had trouble, it is likely that the server is experiencing too much traffic. We have had an overwhelming response to the questionnaire (especially this afternoon), and the server has not been able to support all of the traffic.
