Does Severity of an Injury Affect Academic Performance in Athletes?

 Sean Banks-Duitch

Injury is a common problem that many athletes  have to deal with.   Many studies have shown that, following  an injury,  athletes are prone to  suffer various negative  psychological effects.  These can include anything from depression to lowered self-esteem.  But what happens to college athletes   who  suffer  an  injury?   How is  their  academic  performance affected?   And, what, if any, are the differences in a player who has sustained a mild injury and a player who’s injury ends their career?

Proposal
An in depth, introductive look at my topic.  This includes a brief summary of how I plan on conducting the experiment, as well as what my hypothesis for the experiment is.

Literature Review (First Draft)
This page includes relevant research that has been conducted concerning the present study.  It, eventually, will be the introduction to my thesis.

 Methods
Who will be participating in this research?  How will the data be obtained?  How will the confidentiality of the athletes be maintained?  All of these questions, and more, are answered here.
