Research Assistant opportunities
We typically need multiple undergraduate research assistants on a volunteer or 357 basis every semester, including summer. Below are the projects that are currently running and the types of jobs that are available. Please email me if you are interested and we can set up a time for a short interview.
| Sexual misperception (Summer 2009, Fall 2009, Spring 2010) We are working on follow-up studies testing evolutionary hypotheses about individual differences and context effects of men's sexual overperception bias. We need RAs who can help us to obtain and organize stimuli, manage participants in experimental sessions, enter data, deal with physiological specimen collection, and now we need RAs who can convincingly pretend to be other participants in our experiments. We prefer students who have an interest in the topic, or in evolutionary psychology in general, especially students who can devote multiple consecutive semesters to our lab. |
| Attractiveness (Summer 2009, Fall 2009) We are beginning a new line of research into the effects of individual differences in physical attractiveness on social and romantic experiences. We need RAs who can help us to manage participants in experimental sessions, enter data, and help with further study development We prefer students who have an interest in the topic, or in evolutionary psychology in general. |
