The goal of this project is to examine individuals basic daily behaviors and thoughts and how they are related to various background, personality and linguistic characteristics. The first thing you will do is write a brief stream-of-consciousness essay about what is currently on your mind. Next, you will be asked to respond to a series of questions regarding a wide variety of topics ranging from how you spend your time (e.g. what kind of TV shows do you like?) to how you see yourself (e.g. how good are you with your money?). Upon completion of the questionnaire you will receive feedback, based on your responses, as to what type of person you are...

Your responses will be kept entirely confidential. The only identifying information we ask for (sex, bithdate and hometown) will be used to connect your responses in future questionnaires.

This site is intended to provide a new method of assessing daily life, an understanding of the text analysis program LIWC and, possibly, a sense of how you use words and how these words may reflect who you are.
