How to Publish Web Pages on the Psychology "HomePage" Server

Using the Psychology Department HomePage server is a direct and easy way for faculty and students to publish web pages. All you need is a name and password. You can connect to the server from home or from campus.

Step 1. Log in with your user name and password. If you don't already have one, contact HELP Desk.

Step 2. Connect to the HOMEPAGE server. Instructions for Uploading Files

Step 3. Create an HTML file

Step 4. Save it to your folder on the HomePage server.

Step 5. Organize your sub-folders within your main folder. Your files may grow numerous in time and you don't want to have to sort through a long list of filenames looking for a particular file.

Step 6. Contact the Psychology webmaster so you can be added to the list of class pages on the web or to the list of student home pages.

This server doesn't use Perl or C for cgi and related jobs. Instead, it utilizes NETCLOAK software, which can perfom a variety of tasks, such as the creation of forms for surveys and questionnaires.
