Handouts Grades Announcements

Hello and welcome to Psy308 (Biopsychology). This webpage is designed for you, so suggestions are welcome. It will be an integral part of the class, as handouts, grades, and announcements will all be posted here. While I am not available every minute of the day, this page and my email are.

Since no TA is assigned for the course, I've decided to use a message board (found above in "Discussions"). This will hopefully facilitate questions and answers amongst myself and students. Any misuse of the message board will not be tolerated, and may result in its removal.

Announcements
05-15
Well, the final grades have been handed in and posted. Total points and final grade value as well as the letter grade you recieved are included. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Have a great summer.
05-06
I've updated your grades once more. These are the grades that you have going into the final exam. I've also put the Study Sheet for the fourth and final exam on the handouts page. If you need to get in touch with me before the exam, email me. I will not have normal office hours, but will gladly meet you in my office if you tell me when. Remember, the exam is in BATS 307 (our room) on 5-12 (Saturday) at 2pm. Good luck to all of you who are taking the exam.

04-18
I've updated the Grades page for those of you who did not get your grades this morning. Remember, the "final" grade DOES NOT contain the last case study, nor the last exam. Total Attendance is from five random checks (four so far), with 2 points for each check. Total possible points for the tests are 150 (50pts for three exams) and 40 for the Case Studies (8pts for 5 studies). If you signed up for BOTH experiments, then you got 10 points, for ONE you got 5 points. If you have any questions, please email me.

04-06
Since, not many people showed up to class today, and I had the sign ups for extra credit. So, we're going to do this by email. There are two experiments, with two available sessions for each. Email me your choices in rank order, starting with your first choice. Each experiment is worth 5 extra points, and you may sign up for both experiments, giving you a total of 10 points. However, you may not sign up for more than one session per experiment.

here for more information.

03-20
Well, I've decided to use an HTML editor to help update the class web-page. Hence, some announcements have left because of an "update" problem. But no worries. Look on the lecture schedule page to see some changes marked in RED, and notice there is no Supplement #4. I'll go over these changes on Wednesday.

Also, I've updated your grades page. Remember, you have until this Friday the 23rd to question your grade on the last exam.

02-11
Well, your grades are up on the grade page by last four digits of your social. The grades for Test One are curved as the appear. In addition, some of you were awarded four points if you answered two questions as the populace did. If there are any questions, please email me.

Also, remember that there is NO CLASS on Monday the 12th. Psychopharmacology will begin on Wednesday the 14th, at which time you will be handed the first supplement.
02-01
Supplement #1 ????In looking over the lecture schedule for class, I've discovered that you should be recieving a reading supplement five days before your first exam. I'd be very cruel if I did that, because in all probability you'd be tested on the material. So, I've decided that instead of handing out a supplement, I'll be giving you a sheet of key terms to know for the exam. That sheet will be handed out on Monday.
01-31
Remember, your first Case Study is due on the 2nd (this Friday). Any questions: I'll be around on Thursday. AND try using the message board. It's there to help all of you communicate with each other.
01-23
The first Case Study has been added to the handouts page in ".pdf" format. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the Case Study. I've included an obvious link to download the Reader.

01-21
I've added the lecture from Friday to the handouts page. Let me know what you think either by email or on the message board.

01-19
The Case Study #1 distrabution and due date has been moved. See the schedule for the new dates.

01-17
First Day of Class - Be sure you have the book for Friday.
Hand in the information sheet on the back of your syllabus.
